Jesus Did in a Tent
Spoken Word by Mikey & V
Jesus did in a tent
what men couldn’t do in temples.
What kings couldn’t manage from thrones.
What families couldn’t find in homes
filled with furniture but starving for presence.
He didn’t need columns.
Didn’t need chandeliers.
Didn’t need stained glass windows
to see straight into the soul.
He pitched a tent—
not to hide God,
but to prove He was always willing to meet us
in the middle of our wilderness.
They built homes.
He built altars.
They served comfort.
He carried covenant.
They were scrubbing silverware
while He was washing feet.
Jesus did in a tent
what tradition couldn’t do in a temple.
He turned dust into destiny.
He turned wilderness into worship.
He made the floor holy
and the fire personal.
Because He knew—
the presence of God was never about perfection.
It was about proximity.
He wasn’t waiting on a pulpit.
He was waiting on permission.
From the hungry.
From the broken.
From the ones too messy for marble floors.
Final Word:
“Jesus did in a tent
what pride couldn’t do in a palace.
He made God accessible.
He made love unshakeable.
He made the low place sacred.
And I’ll meet Him there every time.”
