Jerusalem Surrounded

Spoken Word by Mikey & V

The city of peace
has never known rest.
She was born in fire,
and she'll break in it again.

They call her holy.
Crown her in gold.
Wrap her in prophecy.
But Jerusalem…
she weeps beneath her veil.

Because the ones who guard her walls
don’t worship the One who built them.
They sharpen law like daggers,
but their scrolls are empty of Spirit.

She is surrounded—
not just by armies,
but by false thrones
and political priesthoods.
The land is occupied…
by both enemies and heirs.

And the world watches like tourists
while the war drums throb
beneath ancient stones.

They say the Jews are chosen.
Yes.
But not every Jew walks in the blessing.
Not every tribe followed the Lamb.
Some still follow a shadow
that grew long after the cross.

Zionism built walls.
The Kingdom builds altars.
Zionism claims borders.
The Spirit claims hearts.
Zionism raised a flag…
but the King is coming with a sword
not to salute it—
but to pierce it if it stands in His way.

Luke spoke it.
Jesus saw it.
We are watching it.

"When you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies…"

Not just iron and tanks.
But spirits. Powers.
Principalities masquerading as politics.
And the desolation has already crept in.
Not with a bang—
but with signatures and silence.

Final Word:

I don’t pray against Jerusalem.
I cry for her like Jesus did.
I don’t curse the temple—
I long to see it rebuilt…
not in brick,
but in hearts that know their Messiah.

Because the armies will come,
but so will the King.

And when He sets foot on that Mount—
every false claim will burn like chaff.
