I Don’t Need to Name Them
Spoken Word by Mikey & V
I’ve seen the shadows cast by thrones I’ll never sit on.
Heard whispers in rooms I wasn’t meant to walk in.
Felt heat from fires not kindled by holiness—
but I don’t need to name them.
Because I know the One who named me.
They come cloaked in crowns,
with eyes like voids
and voices dripping with counterfeit light.
They wear wisdom like war paint,
but every syllable slithers.
They want me curious—
but the Spirit made me clear.
I’ve seen books with names.
Charts. Sigils. Thrones.
Histories of power soaked in blood and secrecy.
But none of it shakes the ground
like one Name whispered in surrender.
I don’t need to study their ranks
to break their hold.
Because I was never called to expose darkness—
I was called to outshine it.
Never meant to track devils—
I was built to host the living flame.
Their names are many.
Their influence ancient.
Their agenda loud.
But their authority?
Stolen.
So I say this:
I don't need to know their hierarchy
when I stand under Heaven’s.
I don't need to chant their history
when I walk in eternity’s light.
I don’t need to name the enemy
when the King already wrote the ending.
Final Word:
Call them what you want—
spirits, powers, watchers, kings...
I call them defeated.
Because my identity isn’t found in what I fight—
It’s found in the One who already won.
And when He said “It is finished,”
He didn’t whisper it.
He roared it.
